The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held its agricultural cultural festival, “The Palm Tree… Tree of Life.”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki Rashid, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, Professor Dr. Ammar Ali Ajimi, the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering held its agricultural cultural festival entitled “The Palm Tree… Tree of Life.”

The festival was organized with the active participation of third-year students and under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Shireen Mohammed Ibrahim. It included diverse activities aimed at highlighting the importance of the palm tree as an environmental, economic, and cultural symbol in Iraq, as well as enhancing agricultural awareness among students.

The festival's events were held amidst a distinguished academic and student presence, reflecting the college's commitment to supporting scientific and cultural activities that contribute to linking engineering disciplines with environmental and developmental aspects.

This activity is part of the College of Engineering's efforts to develop students' skills and encourage them to innovate and actively participate in community issues.
