Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki Rashid, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department, Dr. Alaa Falah, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Engineering held the fourth lecture in its series of specialized lectures and seminars in the field of human rights.
The lecture, entitled "The Role of Faculty Members in Shaping the Character of University Students," was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Muntadhar Karim Qasim. He discussed the pivotal role of faculty members in developing students' abilities and refining their academic and behavioral character, in addition to the impact of modern educational methods on promoting human values within the university environment.
The lecture was attended by a number of students from the Mechatronics Engineering Department. It was held in the department's hall at 10:30 AM and included interactive discussions that enriched the topic and highlighted the importance of a positive relationship between faculty and students in achieving a comprehensive learning environment.
This event is part of the College of Engineering's efforts to promote awareness of human rights and instill academic and societal values in students.
