The College of Engineering at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium entitled How to Be a Successful Engineer in the Workplace. The symposium aimed to find out the correlation between academic study in the college with the scientific reality and the most important components of an engineer’s success at work.
The symposium, in which Professor Dr. Saleh Issa Khassaf lectured, included work on developing the engineer’s continuous skill, accuracy and organization at the work site, worker safety, joint teamwork, and the way the engineer deals with his workers, in addition to solving the engineering problems that the engineer is exposed to during his work. The symposium was greatly appreciated by the audience. Students understand the importance of the subject and the scientific method
