The College of Engineering imports a metal spectrophotometer

The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah imported a metal spectroscopy device from Germany, and Dr. Mortada Abbas Jabbar used the device to analyze the chemical composition of metals to know the line of their components, such as the analysis of iron alloys and nickel alloys. He mentioned that the device is useful for graduate and undergraduate students, as it serves the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Materials Engineering In addition to the other sections, in addition, it is used to examine state sector companies and oil companies to find out the components of the materials used. He also mentioned that the price of the device with transportation is 72 million Iraqi dinars.
