My instructor at the College of Engineering, Dr. Hisham Latif Sawadi, participated in the conference launching the Dom 2025 initiative to develop the communications and information technology sector in Iraq, which was held at Babel Hotel, Gilgamesh Hall in Baghdad.

On Monday 1/14/2019 at 10 am, this initiative aims to determine the decisive role of the information and communication technology sector as an influential factor in empowering society and the economy, developing a supportive environment, supporting sources of investment and achieving investment competition. The projects include, supporting the e-government project, supporting people with special needs, universal service, fourth and fifth generation services, Dom Center for Training and Scientific Research, setting up a program to train top students in addition to other projects
