A doctoral thesis at the University of Basrah discussing (the structural behavior of a multi-space wall bridge using the finite element method)

I discussed a doctoral thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah (the structural behavior of a multi-space wall bridge using the finite element method)

The thesis submitted by the student Ammar Jalil Ibrahim included

Analysis of the retaining bridge for iron plates using the applied triple equation and using the finite element method of a triangular model consisting of 15 connection knots under the influence of planar elongation and by applying six groups of applied loads to a clay model taken from Umm Qasr soil. Elly, the shape of the shear torque, bending moment and load curves against bending for each group of applied load groups. The stress concentration of the continuous bridge supporting the steel plates under the influence of all groups under the influence of all groups was plotted using TRENCH2017 and FEM ROBOT 2019 program and all results were compared.

The thesis aims to study the behavior of the dominant bridge of steel plates under the influence of active load stress using the finite element method

The thesis concluded that the method of using the finite elements showed ideal results compared to the results used in the iron plate system, including continuous stress beams in the finite element method. The results were studied and compared to the similar project with some modifications in the input data. The output data showed that the bridge used was more economical and more effective In terms of resistance to stress and construction costs
