
The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah participated in the exhibition of scientific products held by the University of Basrah to coincide with the anniversary of the founding of the fifty-fifth university in the central library in the complex of Bab Al-Zubair colleges with a set of projects, including the presentation of architectural projects for urban development such as the development of Qurna district and the development project of the Dakir area in addition to designs For residential units and complexes.
Industrial robots that perform tasks that are difficult for humans to perform, such as entering into areas of pollution and entering areas of volcanoes, etc., in addition to projects related to the manufacture of active carbon from used car tires, the production of charcoal using sawdust.
And a tracking device to measure the quality of the cement mixture and a project to produce a respirator mask for emergency cases.
Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Maath Mohammad, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, indicated that all the projects participating in the exhibition are applied projects that can be benefited from and applied in the oil, industrial and electricity sectors. As for the architectural engineering projects, they can be used by Basrah Governorate for the purpose of developing the urban reality of various regions Basrah.
