A master's thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussed (Quality of Service for Intelligent Hybrid Assembly Technology in Wireless Sensor Networks).
The thesis presented by the student Inaam Abdel Hussein Mansour dealt with the use of smart systems to improve the quality of performance of wireless sensor networks.
Four intelligent routing protocols based on the low-power adaptive cluster header were introduced in order to reduce the power consumption of the wireless sensor network. Both the first and second protocols relied on a fuzzy logic system based on very important parameters for cluster head selection. While the third protocol relied on the Interval Type 2 Fuzzy Logic System and for two types of homogeneous and heterogeneous scenarios for the distribution of sensor nodes in the network.
On the other hand, a fourth protocol was proposed to support the hybrid cluster model in wireless sensor networks. In addition, the improved fog control system is used to balance the clusters by saving energy in each cluster. The proposed protocol (CF-FPA LEACH) was based on the optimization algorithm called the FPA flower pollination algorithm together with the compression technique based on fuzzy rules.
The thesis aims to improve the quality of service (QoS) in wireless sensor networks in terms of energy efficiency and reliability
The thesis concluded the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed protocols compared to their counterparts in terms of energy savings, stability, network life, and the number of received data packets.
