The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah Holds a Training Workshop on Well Performance Analysis

The Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Student Branch of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), held a training workshop entitled “Well Performance Analysis,” targeting fourth-year students in the department.

The workshop included scientific and practical sessions focusing on the fundamental concepts of oil well performance analysis, methods for evaluating productivity, and interpreting operational data. This aimed to enhance students' practical skills and connect theoretical knowledge with field applications.

The workshop was presented by Engineer Wadah Laith, who provided a comprehensive explanation supported by practical examples and answered students' questions. He emphasized the importance of such workshops in preparing students for the job market and developing their engineering skills.

This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities that the College of Engineering is keen to conduct to support the educational process and develop the capabilities of its students in various engineering disciplines.
