The College of Engineering at the University of Basra concluded a specialized training course entitled "Natural Gas from Reservoir to Flaring System / Gas Flaring," organized by the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center. The course was attended by a number of students and those interested in the petroleum sector.

The lectures were presented by Assistant Lecturer Shireen Mohammed Ibrahim, who covered the fundamental stages of natural gas production, from the oil reservoirs through processing and transportation, culminating in gas flaring systems. She also highlighted the technical and environmental aspects associated with these processes.

The course witnessed significant interaction from the participants, who demonstrated a clear interest in the topics presented, recognizing their importance in developing their scientific skills and aligning them with the demands of the job market in the oil and gas sector.

This course is part of the College of Engineering's efforts to enhance the practical and theoretical knowledge of its students, and to open up scientific horizons that contribute to preparing qualified personnel who keep pace with developments in the oil industry.
