The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah welcomed a number of Arab students from the Republic of Sudan, reflecting the openness of Iraqi universities to their Arab neighbors and strengthening joint academic and scientific cooperation.

The students were received by the Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Osama Jassim Naeem, who gave them a tour of the college's academic departments, laboratories, and learning environment. They were also briefed on the academic systems and university services available to international students.

The Dean of the College of Engineering affirmed that this step aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research within the "Study in Iraq" initiative, which aims to attract Arab and international students and solidify the position of Iraqi universities as reputable scientific centers at the regional level. The Dean wished the students success in their academic journey.
