The College of Engineering, University of Basra, participated in the central celebration on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of its founding in the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, and with the Director of the Graduate Studies Department, Dr. Osama Jassim Naim, Dr. Youssef Jabbar Lafta, Director of the Technology Incubator Division, Dr. Abdul Wahid Al-Hajjaj, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department and Director of the Media Department at the College of Engineering, Mr. Abbas Al-Sultan, and the College of Engineering presented an exhibition of its scientific productions in the presence of local and regional students and university professors. The Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, said that the university has made great scientific progress and regained its position among the universities of the developed world in the ladder of international rankings of universities.Rashid pointed out that we remember today the first generation of university professors who established this scientific edifice in Basra Governorate, which remained tall as a source of science and knowledge and a source of supplying work with youth energies armed with experience and knowledge. Rashid pointed out that the University of Basra produced tens of thousands of scientific energies, many of whom had contributions to scientific research containers and international libraries.
