A master's thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussed the static and dynamic behavior of thin shell concrete structures. The thesis presented by student Ahmed Abdel Redha Yassin dealt with the use of two different lengths of the cylindrical shell in the analysis. Modeling of crust structures is performed using Rhinoceros version 7 software. Static structural analysis, spectral analysis, and moving structural analysis were performed using ANSYS Workbench version 2021 R2 software. The thesis concluded that the main parameter that affects the behavior of the crust is the curvature of the crust, however, the thickness parameter contributes to controlling the deflection by increasing the rigidity of the crust. Thickness does not affect the values of membrane tensions. The shell structures behaved linearly under the influence of their own weight in all cases studied.
