Teaching competency test was conducted in the College of Engineering, University of Basrah for new recruits. Where the interview was from the Department of Electrical Engineering. Four applicants who hold a master's degree have been tested. Each of them gave a lecture showing his abilities and ability to teach.. After the end of the lecture, the chairman and members of the committee identified areas of strength and weakness in performance and organization of the lecture.. After that, the English language was tested for each of them. Three of the applicants have passed the teaching validity test. While the fourth applicant was given a second attempt to develop his ability to teach.
