On the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the University of Basrah and under the supervision of the Deanship of the College of Engineering and in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, The Department of Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a ceremony and a panel discussion entitled (The role of the chemical engineer in developing the national industry) The seminar, which was chaired by Mr. Ramadan Abbas, Director of the Paper Mill, and Prof. Dr. Asaad Abdel Sayed, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, dealt with the proposed development plans and the role of the engineer in operating and developing the paper mill, presented by Professor Ramadan Abbas, Director of the Paper Mill. The experience of producing liquid soap in the laboratories of the Department of Chemical Engineering, which was presented by students of the fourth stage of the Department of Chemical Engineering, as well as the experiment of packing paper tissues in the laboratories of the Department of Chemical Engineering, which was presented by students of the fourth stage of the Department of Chemical Engineering. At the end of the seminar, recommendations were presented and certificates of appreciation were distributed.
