The aim of the visit was to cooperate with UNESCO through the participation of the University of Basrah in the process of reviving the visual heritage represented by the old city, as well as to search for the possibility of developing curricula for reviving old houses and places.
In addition to enhancing joint cooperation with regard to the organization's work in Basra city and developing the capabilities of students in the Department of Architecture for the purpose of enhancing their capabilities regarding heritage buildings.
It was also agreed to hold a UNESCO workshop in the College of Engineering during the month of May, and the contribution of the professors of the College of Engineering in reviving the visual heritage.
In addition to the scientific visits of the students of the Department of Architecture to the heritage houses.
The entry of the College of Engineering into the Bologna educational track and the extent of UNESCO's contribution to supporting the approach to this track were also discussed.
