Proceeding from community service, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Rabie Hashem Thajeel, and his administrative assistant, Dr. Basem Talib Kazem, visited Anwar Al-Ghadeer Mixed Secondary School located in Basra Governorate, Karmat Ali District. They reviewed the reality of the school and its needs, and studied the possibility of providing support to it within the community service mechanism and according to the directives of the President of  University of Basrah, Dr. Thamer Hamdan, to provide material and moral support to the governorate’s schools. They were received by the school director and a number of teachers. The Dean directed the maintenance unit in the college to restore sanitary bathrooms, repair electricals, maintain doors, prepare and repair classrooms. On the other hand, the school administration expressed its happiness and welcomes the initiative of the College of Engineering and thanked the President of Basra University and the Dean of the College of Engineering.
