The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held an introductory symposium on the Al-Ain Foundation for Social Welfare

The aim of the symposium was to introduce the institution, where the official of the institution’s delegates gave a full explanation of the institution’s history and work, and explained that it is an institution of general benefit concerned with the sons of martyrs, the martyrs of terrorist operations, and the deceased in general who need care and attention. It also cared for the displaced and forcibly displaced The Foundation aims to deliver financial and in-kind aid to the families of orphans

The symposium was attended by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassanein Ibrahim Khalaf, and some of the department's teachers, affiliates and students. Where the head of the Mechanical Engineering Department commended the work of the Foundation, thanking their efforts to provide a helping hand to the orphans, as the attendees contributed by making material donations in support of the Foundation's work.
