A scientific visit for students of the College of Engineering to the Arab Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies

 

 

The students of the fourth stage in the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah visit the Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies, accompanied by the teaching staff. The students were received by the officers and ranks of the Academy, where they were received by the President of the Academy, Major General Hisham Taher Hammadi, who provided all facilities for the visit and instructed a number of officers with marine and engineering specializations to accompany the students around the Academy and to show its departments and facilities from the Presidency of the Academy and the scientific departments of the Naval College from Classrooms and electronic, practical and tactical laboratories.

In addition to the Planetarium Department, housing for officers and college students, and areas designated for training and demonstrations.

During the visit, the nature of the work of each department was clarified, listening and answering the students’ inquiries and questions regarding the urban and urban aspect, and extrapolating the functional relationships of the academic parts and their spaces.

The students were also briefed during the visit to a number of design and urban vocabulary.
